Flash Player 23/Firefox/WindowsXP - Install Stopping

I have tried many, many times and millions of ways through the help section to get this thing to install.

I download the file with no problem after denying install of the McAfee Security thing because I don't need it. The Download does fine, I always have it notify me to install updates because I don't want the McAfee.

It gets to 50% and then stops the install and says Adobe Flash Player: Installation failed, click 'Finish' for further assistance.

I'm at my wits end because I can't do my applications for jobs, I can't let my sister watch her videos or her games and just everything is going wrong. The Help section they offer DOES NOT HELP, please help me.

Unless you have WinXP Service Pack 3 installed, your machine lacks the cryptographic support necessary to install current software.

To be frank, at this point, we're not even allowed to a have a WinXP machine in the building, much less on the network.

Especially if you're doing anything remotely sensitive with this computer (banking, healthcare, confidential work, etc.), it's long past time to upgrade.  If price is an issue, you can purchase a very capable Chromebook for ~$250, and you can get a totally decent laptop running Windows 10 for $400-450.  While I realize that this isn't pocket change, it's far, far less expensive than identity theft, and running WinXP leaves you very, very vulnerable at this point.

What Service Pack, if any, is installed on your Windows XP system?

I'll need to get the install log files to troubleshoot the error.  Please review the FAQ Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on Windows? and provide the 3 files (FlashInstall.log, Adobe_ADM.log, and Adobe_GDE.log) listed.  Upload the files to cloud.acrobat.com/send using the instrutions at How to share a document and post the link to the uploaded files in your reply.

Thank you.
