My Windows Vista machine does not recognize the installer as a valid Windows executable.  Being directed to the wrong installer?

Hi,

It's possible your Windows Vista system does not support SHA256 certificates, which the online installer users.  Please refer to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2763674/you-cannot-run-an-application-that-is-signed-with-a-sha-256-certificate…  for possible solution from Microsoft.

Hi,

Could you share the link from where you are downloading Flash Player. Also please post a screenshot of the issue you are facing.

Thanks!

Hi

Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions and the specs are:

Version 24.0.0.221

System requirements

Your system:

Windows 64-bit , English , Firefox

The file does nothing when I try to execute with the usual double mouse click.  Just for kicks I selected "Run as Administrator" from mouse menu, but nothing.  At one point I got a message that it is an unknown file type, but cannot now repeat that.

The file is flashplayer24_ha_install.exe.
