Question

Flash Player 27.0.0.130 goes around and around, repeating install endlessly.

I am using FF 55.0.3 which is the latest. When I try to use something that requires the Flash Player (Google Finance stock charts), I am prompted to enable the Flash Player. When I do I get the D/L page for an update to the Flash Player (27.0.0.130). I go through the process, it completes and congratulates me but when I then restart my browser and re-try web-page, the Flash Player update process repeats (need to enable, takes me to the update page for 27.0.0.130, install it again, then it repeats). I have been through this at least 3 times and nothing every changes even though the update succeeds, each time.

Help!  I am in Flash Player Update Hell.  Jane, how do I stop this crazy thing?

All I wanted was a stable Flash Player update which would finally correct the horrible problem the Flash Player has had for years where it constantly crashes and burns on just about every web-page it is called up from.  Huge, long freeze-ups followed by a message from the Flash Player that it has stopped working, again and again and again and again ...

Chuck.

What operating system, including version, is this on?

Please post the link to the exact page (assuming it's publicly available) that is exhibiting the problem.
