Flash Player 9 and Internet Explorer 6

I am having trouble opening SWF files with Flash Player 9 on my desktop with Internet Explorer 6.  Am i missing something?

    Hi Adele, Have you resolved this issue? Installing the newest Flash Player 10 would probably solve your problem and after that make sure you go into manage add ons and Update Shockwave Flash Object Active X and reboot.
