My Flash Player 9 worked well before, now I don't have audio when playing i.e. YouTube, etc. Did reinstall and all the same again. No audio. All other stuff WMP11, Real Player, Quick Time are working fine video and audio. Anyone knows what could it be causing this problem ???

Well, I did reinstall my Windows and now everything works fine. Only thing now that I can suspect is that maybe the problem was in registry. Anyway, this issue will stay mistery for me. God help us all with Microsoft !

I found the posting that fixed my problem. There are quite a few other posts here that might help someone with sound problems and Flash Player.

    Hello,
I have a similar problem with audio in Flash. But I think it´s more complex. For example on those webplayers You can see that the data are being downloaded to the aplication but when there is 100% the slider (possition marker or whatever) stops at the begining and nothing i happening. I think this problem started after I mess with those codec packs...I instaled and removed one, then instaled another and then I found this problem with Flash. My Mp3's are playing correctly on WMP and others but the sound on any Flash based aplication is missing...Might be a codec problem? I have Win XP...Any Help? Thanks

I started having this same problem a few days ago and nothing I tried fixed it. Then I came across a post that mentioned something about changing a setting using the Audio MIDI Setup application...and it worked! I was unable to find the post again but whoever posted this before THANK YOU.

Go into your Applications Folder > Utilities Folder > open Audio MIDI Setup app.> change the "Audio Output" format to 44Hz and your sound in flash player will return immediately. NOTE: the sound came right back, but I changed the setting to something different and then back to 44Hz again and the sound was lost. After I restarted the problem was fixed.

If you havent found a solution I hope this works.
