Flash Player content not loading IE11...

Hi I'm having issues with Flash Player on IE 11...

OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1.

Browser: IE 11 (Version: 11.0.9600.17041 / Update version: KB2929437)

Flash Player: ActiveX Version 16.0.0.235

NPAPI Plug-in Version 16.0.0.235

PPAPI Plug-in Version Not installed

Website: http://www.nick.co.uk (as well as others but this one is one of the important sites; as reward for students at the school)

I have disabled ActiveX filtering, I have made sure that Shockwave Flash Object is enabled; I have made sure that ActiveX is allowed on all sites... As far as I can tell I have ticked/un-ticked all the right boxes and still IE11 will not load any Flash Player content.

The quick fix would be to use Firefox or Google Chrome or any other web browser; however the students at the school I work at have severe and profound learning, behavioural, and/or physical difficulties that mean I do not want to interfere with the established method of accessing the internet, and software that they are familiar with.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Any progress? I have the same problem. I see you got no response from your last post.

Like you I've been through all the active x filtering stuff and that's not the problem. The object does not load when the browser starts.

When I install the flash object IE 11 shows the Shockwave Flash Object is enabled and loaded. But after restarting the browser the object is no longer loaded. it is, however, in the add-on list of all add-ons and is enabled.

Any help appreciated!

Are you specifically having problems on nick.co.uk like the original post, or is there another specific URL that you are having issues with? Or, are you not able to load Flash on any site?

Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.

You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

It's my own domain/website.

I use Windows 7 Pro, 32 bit.

It works in Chrome 46.0.2490.71 m

Does not work in IE 11.0.9600 or Firefox 41.0.1

I have the domain set to Compatibility View.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me on that one, but this was one of the first things I tried before going on to other solutions for Flash Player not working. Sorry I fergot to mention that in the OP hard to keep track of all the little things you have tried before giving up and asking for help.

Chrome or Firefox is beginning to look more and more likely; but having to lock them down via GP is still more hassle than getting IE to work right now.
