Flash Player Crashing in every browser

Currently i am experiencing flash player crashes in every browser I've tried. Internet Explorer 7.0 & 8.0, Google Chrome, Mozilla and Mozilla 4.0 Beta. It crashes on playlist.com, youtube.com, facebook.com, and several other sites. So much so that i cannot do anything with Flash for more than 1 full minute. It crashes i reload, sometimes it completely crashes the browser and even sometimes it will crash i refresh and my computer shuts down and restarts. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, over and over again. I've tried older versions. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my video driver, I have updated and scanned and rescanned with norton, McAfee, and Microsoft Security Essentials. I have even installed a sony driver that a google employee suggested. My computer is running Microsoft XP. And i'm beginning to believe possibly this is only an issue with my xp as my laptops running Windows 7 and Vista do not have any of these issues and all computers run exactly the same programs.

Any suggestions at this point are welcome. I'm to the point that i'm beginning to think of trashing this computer and just using it as a shell to build a new one.

Thanks in advance for anything...

AshlyDawn

So Opera worked, but it still crashed if i had email and facebook app going at same time. I was reading across a locked forum on here and one guy was saying that he believed an issue was occuring with the power supply. So just a little bit ago I opened up my computer took the power supply out and took it apart, took a toothbrush to the fan because it was plagued with massive amounts of sticky dust. I also did the same thing with the cpu fan and so far so good it seems. Maybe my computer was just running WAY too hot and flash was maxing out the heat capacity. This idea sort of clicked because my computer does crash at times completely. Complete shut down.

So after hooking everything back up I've tested even an app on facebook that wouldn't last more than 10 sec before a shut down and my cpu usage only maxed at 60% with it. So I think all is well so far. I'm back to using google chrome. Hope this helps some as i struggled for over a week searching for an answer.

Hi, Are you saying that you have Norton, McAfee and MSE Installed on one computer?

    Thanks,

No, I had McAfee had run the scan over a week ago. Thought maybe possibly it was missing something considering I have Norton on all other computers and they aren't running into any issues. Uninstalled McAfee and installed Norton 360 several days ago. And have installed Microsoft Security as of last night. So as of current I have Norton 360 and Microsoft Security on this computer.

Hi, I've read all of your posts, including the last one. I wanted to reply to this one right now. Did you use the McAfee Removal Tool or just remove it from Add/Remove?

Norton and MSE are most likely conflicting since they both have Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware components. You should only have one Anti-Virus program on any computer. You can have more than one Anti-Spyware program as long as you know they are compatible.

Norton also installs add ons that conflict with many users browsers and the Flash Player ActiveX Control that is Installed in the IE browser. I just wanted you to be aware of this.

So in addition to cleaning the dust from your tower which is a good idea anytime, you may want to check the Anti-Virus info.

    Thanks,
