Hello

We have an issue where students are unable to load websites that run flash player such as Mymaths and we can't seem to find the reason why, the machines the students use are windows 7 machines, the flash version is 25.0.0.171, flash is enabled and staff and administrator accounts do work, now can this issue be a policy issue or a registry issue.

Oh and we run internet explorer 11, school policy makes it so kids cannot use chrome or firefox

if someone could point us in the right direction that would be great

Hello, It was a user policy that was effecting it, we played around with the active X settings and it has worked,

Thanks for the help, you sent us in the right direction

The fact that administrator accounts are unaffected definitely suggests that the user account does not have permission to run Flash (i.e. you've locked something down too tight).

There are a very large number of ways to shoot yourself in the foot as a system administrator, so it's hard to guess about what exactly is misconfigured, but looking through the events that are logged in Event Viewer might give you some clues about what might be denied.

I've provided a copy of the Flash Player administrator's guide here:

Adobe Flash Player Administration Guide for Flash Player | Adobe Developer Connection

It might be useful in terms of highlighting established techniques for managing Flash Player in the enterprise.
