Flash Player disappeared from my Chrome

I need Flash for work.  I use Chrome.  Today it was just gone off of my computer.  So I installed Flash.  It shows up under my apps, but does not show up in my programs.  So I can uninstall it, but I can't click on the program to get any information.  It is not showing up in site settings and Chrome/my computer is not recognizing that I have Flash on my computer.  I need help.  This is not only driving me crazy, but costing me money because I can't work without it.

Chrome is supposed to have flash built in.  My Chrome is current, and updates are up to date.  Don't know what else to do.

Google embeds Flash Player in Chrome and has done so for many years.   The embedded version does not display in the list of installed programs (in either Mac or Windows), so the version listed there is something else.

As OP said, Google, and all browser vendors, disable Flash Player by default, forcing users to enable it for each browser session (e.g. when user exits out of browser, the 'allow flash' setting is deleted).

In addition to the 'saying goodbye to Flash' link OP posted, here's Google's Flash Player roadmap which indicates the Chrome version Google will stop supporting Flash Player in: https://www.chromium.org/flash-roadmap

You need to enable Flash when viewing content in Chrome. See:

Note, Flash will not be supported beyond this year and browsers like Chrome will block this content.
