Hello,

first of thanks to anyone willing to help me

here are my specs :

Win7 64bit SP1

nvidia GTX460 GPU

intel dual core E8500

8GB Ram

and i use Firefox 21 (just updated to last version but it didnt help)

so here is my problem : on a website i visit from time to time on the profil pages of other members there are some linked/embedded youtube videos , last time i visited the problem begun.

now on youtube the videos displays in the upper left corner instead of being "at the right place" and on some other players (i think it is JWPlayer) the videos doesnt even show up, i have to right click where the vid is supposed to be and toogle fullscreen.

also for each video i open i get one more flashplayer tab in the win taskbar (normally i have only 1 tab what ever the number of flash vids i open simultaneously)

what i tried so far:

reboot PC

update grfx drivers

uninstal flash with provided tool from adobe website and re-instal

tried older version of Flash (works more or less for youtube but not for most other players/websites)

tried the 11,8 beta version of flash

update my browser

tried with hardware acceleration on and off

clean my cache and internet temp files

non of those worked and i start to run out of ideas soem steps where even combined sometimes like uninstall+reboot+reinstall etc etc

any help would be really  appreciated

thanks

I'm sorry you're going through this, could you please try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this FAQ:

How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

In particular, I'd recommend temporarily disabling protected mode (for troubleshooting purposes only) to see if that addresses the issue.  I would also recommend trying previous versions of Flash Player to see if we can pinpoint a time when this was working for you.  I'd start by going back to the latest 10.3 release and then moving up from there.

Where do I find previous versions of Flash Player?

Have you tried contacting the folks over at longtailvideo (JW Player) to see if they've heard about this?

    Hello,

    thanks for your suggestions

i tried that allready as you can see in my post above >>

flash 10.3 > youtube OK, most other flash players dont work (sound only, if i know where the "fullscreen" button normally is placed however i manage to see video in fullscreen mode but sometime i have to click around 2-5min before i find the right spot and it switches to fullscreen)

and removing protected mode for firefox only repaired youtube videops as statet in my update

i didnt asked at longtailvideo for now since it happens with nearly evry flash player on the interwebz (local TV replays, ebaumsworld, videogame trailer sites etc etc etc) so i dont think its only JWPlayer related

I am running Firefox 24 on Mac OS X 10.8.5 and I'm having this problem.   I have rebooted, reinstalled the latest flash player (just now), and it's still a problem.   This is with /any/ flash video, from anywhere.    Conversely, it works fine on Chrome 31 beta.

I'm thinking there must be a corrupted setting somewhere.   That being the case, does anyone know where I can remove these files, in the hopes that this problem will resolve.  Or any other suggestions about how to fix this?

    Thanks.
