Question

Flash Player documents print out in reduced size

I use the CCLI website for music and when you try to print a sheet of music from their site in Windows 10 Edge, which uses Flash Player the pages are reduced in size by almost half.

The support for CCLI told me to view installed updates, then remove the Adobe Flash updates. Then to restart and reinstall the updates, I did that, but with no avail.

Anyone have and suggestions or ways to correct this problem. Seem to only effect Edge and IE.

This issue is fixed.

Please update Microsoft windows to have latest flash player.

Hi,

Microsoft embeds Flash Player in IE and Edge browser and the Flash Player uninstaller does not uninstall these embedded versions of Flash Player.  If you manually removed the embedded version of Flash Player from IE and Edge browser you may run into difficulty trying to re-install it as Microsoft does not provide standalone installers for Flash Player for IE and Edge.

If you did not manually remove Flash Player from IE and Edge browser, please file a bug at https://bugbase.adobe.com.  Include the link to the page that reproduces the behaviour, and if possible, attached a print out of the page with the reduced size (if it reproduces in PDF you can save the file in PDF and attach that, also indicating that the reduces size reproduces when printing to paper).  Include hardware information so that we can try to reproduce on the same (or similar) system you have.

Thanks for the fast reply.

Attached is PDF of pages printed from CCLI Falsh player.

Below is what the CCLi support told us to do. We tried it on one our computer, but to no avail.

On February 9th 2016 a security update for Adobe Flash Player on Windows 10 was released. This updated Flash Player to the latest version but has also impacted your ability to print your music sheets from Songselect.com. Unfortunately, only a workaround is available until Microsoft or Adobe release a fix for this issue. Please follow the steps below:

1. Open the start menu and search "view installed updates" and click on View Installed Updates

2. Locate Security Update for Adobe Flash Player and verify the date is 2/*/2016. See screenshot below for reference. (The update was released on the 9th but depending on when your PC updated. The date could be the 9th, 10th, or 11th.)

3. Right click on the installed update and select Uninstall

4. Allow the update to uninstall and restart your computer

5. Install the update by opening the start menu and type "check for updates" and select Check for updates

6. After a couple minutes the update should be automatically downloaded and installed

7. This should fix the printing issue for Edge.

If these steps above did not solve your issue, then you will need to use a different browser such as Firefox or Chrome. Internet Explorer on Windows 10 is affected by this same problem and will not work as an alternative. Verify that Firefox and Chrome are updated to the latest versions before attempting to access SongSelect. (Not sure how to upgrade Firefox or Chrome? Click here<https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version> for Firefox help and here<https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95414?hl=en> for Chrome help.)

Hi,

If you replied via email there is no attachment.  Forums software does not accept email attachments.

The best thing to do is to file a bug at https://bugbase.adobe.com and include the information provided, including the attachment.  The bug will then be triaged by a member of the team and investigated further.

Thank you.
