Hello,

I downloaded FlashPlayer 11(latest) and installed.

Installation progress bar reached end that seemed to complete.

But FlashPlayer doesn't appear on windows "Start > all programs".

There is no "FlashPlayer" folder under "Program files  > Adobe" as well.

Would anybody help?

What is missing or wrong on my installation?

Thanks,

togayan

Hi,

Most problematic thing is that I cannot tie

".swf" files created via flash creating tool

to FLASH Player.

Would you see the detail of what I witnessing bellow?

Thanks.

Ok, now I understand: you need a Flash Player to play local .swf files.

You cannot do that with the browser add-on, you will need the standalone Flash Player (Projector) for this.  You can download it from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you will need to make the file association manually.

I suggest that you place the downloaded player together with the other Flash files

on 32-bit systems: C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

on 64-bit systems: C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash

Right.... becuase it ISN'T a program... it's a PLUGIN for your browser.  You'll find it in:

Internet Explorer - Tools (the little "gear" icon)>Manage Add-ons

Firefox - Tools>Add-ons - under the Plugins Tab
