Flash Player Doesn't Install on Google Chrome Browser

So I recently got a new computer and put my old Flash Professional 8 on it, but I accidentally installed the Flash Player 8 as well.  Now I'm stuck with Flash Player 8 on Chrome and I can't access some of the Flash content I used to.  I tried reinstalling Chrome, but it didn't work.  Here's the technote explaining why Chrome isn't "allowed" to manually install Flash Player: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/839/cpsid_83950.html

Hi PC, Posting commercial websites or even your own is not permitted as far as I know. You might want to refer to the FAQ's and rules.

Does FP8 show under Add/Remove Programs - can you uninstall it?

What files do you have in %WINDIR%\system32\Macromed\Flash (32-bit OS) or %WINDIR%\syswow64\Macromed\Flash (64-bit OS); [%WINDIR% usually is C:\Windows] ?
