Flash player doesn't see built in iSight cam

Using an app that I want to give access to my cam and mic.  iMac OSX10.6.3, Firefox 3.6.3., built-in iSight cam.  Dialog box asking me to allow/deny comes up, but I can't click on anything.

Right click, click settings, can't make any changes to that dialog box either.

Went to Adobe Flash Player site, settings manager, Global Security Settings tab, typed website into box and set for allow.  Note: on this tab there is a lock showing, but still allowed me to put site in.

Site is also "allow"ed on Privacy Settings Panel.

Camera Settings does not show iSight camera, but only Logitech Cam (which is not on computer).  Same for microphone tab.

This also happens with Safari, and on my Macbook Pro, which is in a different location and a different network and ISP.  At one point, I got it to allow access tby the website, but it still didn't recognize the camera.  Reinstalled Flash Player and now back to square 1.

Any idea what I'm missing?  Thanks.

What app is it and is it on a website?

It's sad that even in 2010, with Intel Macs now 6 years since introduction, there are still some websites that are not out of the 20th century and don't recognize Mac (now the "top dog" in the technology industry) as a viable format for their platform.

I'd say that by the "logitech" indication, that the app or site, and their codecs are designed for what was the biggest player in the webcam business... in 1999, being Logitech. With MacBooks and iMacs otuselling so many other computers, iSight is rapidly becoming the most widely used camera.

I have four Logitech cams on my PCs, and the built-in iSight on my MacBook Pro.

Places like CuSeeMe, and a couple of other cam chat sites simply do not work with anything other than Logitech because they are using Logitech software in their interface, and it won't acknowledge an iSight cam.

Flash Player settings cannot add a cam for which there are no codecs in the app or site. The software people or web developers need to stop pretending this a "Windows only" world.

Website was built on a Mac. They assure me it is not a PC v Mac problem.   Other people using Macs seem to have no problem.  The problem seems to be getting Flash Player to see the iSight cam on my Macs.

What is the site, and what is the app?
