flash player download failed

I tried downloading the latest flash player. Three times it stopped at 47 percent and told me to close internet explorer. I went for help and checked my internet tools, tried everything suggested. I clicked retry and the only option left was to abort. What do I do now? Uninstall? -- On the other hand, the videos that weren't playing a minute ago are playing now. What happened?

Never mind. I got this. I did a reinstall of Adobe flash which fixed it

Installing Flash Player

I have the corrent Flash Player installed but when I goto the web app that uses the Flash Player it shows the following:

but i made sure that the plugin is enabled

any ideas why this is showing download failed?
