Flash Player Error Message

I try to uninstall flash using the uninstaller and it can't because there is a conflicting application open, Internet Explorer. There are no windows open and nothing running in the background. How can I get past this error?

Use the Task Manager's Processes tab to terminate any iexplore.exe processes that may still be running in the background.

something is still running ...

Restart your computer and start safemode  (click on reboot to F8) uninstall adobe, restart your computer again.

sometimes explorer.exe (no internet explorer) run some flash in backgroung...
