Flash Player - Failed to Intialize

I am trying to download and install Adobe Flash Player, but I keep getting Failed to Intialize.  I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit on an Intel based HP DV 6500.  I had Windows Security Essentials installed, I disabled Real Time Protection and even uninstalled it and still receiving the same error.  I turned Windows Firewall off and have no other security installed.  I tried in IE8 as well as Firefox and received the same error in both.  I successfully installed Flash Player on an AMD based HP DV6000 running Windows Vista Home Premimum 64 bit.  How can I install Flash Player?

Could you try installing the appropriate stand alone installer here?
