Flash Player: Fails to install

I can't find anyone to help me.  I've spent days on this and my own IT department has given up.  I'm running Windows 2007, ie 8.  I don't have another flash player running.  I have activated Active X and it still doesn't install.  How in the world do you get to someone in Adobe to help you?  This does not incent me to want to purchase anything from Adobe.

    Two questions:

    • what is Windows 2007?
    • what means "it doesn't install" - what happens when you try?

    Have you tried the offline ActiveX installer? Download http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe, save it to disk, close all browser windows, then run it from the download location.
