Flash Player & Firefox Aren't Playing Nice In The Sandbox...Help!!

I have Windows 7 as my operating system. Up until the newest version of Flash Player 12.0 and or the newest version of Firefox, I have never  had a problem with Flash Player. I am in school and it is critical for me to have it working.

I have researched online for possible causes and the only thing I get is something about deselcting "hardware acceleration."It says to go to control panel and find Flash Player. Then it says to check settings and deselct hardware acceleration. I have also seen something about activex controls (which I do not understand). There's just one little problem....I can't find it listed anywhere to even get to the control panel, etc. to check settings.

Please help. I am am computer literate but not a "techie." Easy to follow and understanble directions would be greatly appreciated. Oh...In case you are wondering, I have uninstalled and reinstalled BOTH programs more t hanonce to try and address the issue.
