i've used flash since i can remember. now any embeded video will start to load and freeze any browser i use (so far it's IE8, firefox's latest update, firefox 4 beta and google chrome) everything was working fine before that update a few days ago. i cleaned my registry, i disabled the hardware accelerator and still freezes on the loader. for all non youtube embedded videos it displays a green screen and then freezes my browser. any ideas on how to fix this?

    P.S.  one more thing to check: does the same thing happen if you start the browsers in Safe Mode (browser Safe Mode, not Windows Safe Mode)?

    Sorry, there are so many new posts every day that some just get lost in the jungle...

    But I do not know what can cause browsers to freeze with Flash Player.  Can you see the simple Flash animation (rotating red F) at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?  If so, the basic Flash Player works.

    What I would try if I were encountering your problem:

    • check if Hardware Acceleration is really disabled (the green stuff you mention may indicate that it is not);
    • update the device drivers for the graphics/video/display adapter;
    • clear the browser cache;
    • clear the Flash Player cache (using CCleaner);

    Please post back if you had any success.
