Flash Player Help

Im running "XP- ired" SP2" with Flash Player 9.

I can't find the Flash Player 9 program to change the open with option of a file so it correctly opens with Flash Player 9.
The best I get is the Install Helper and well that only installs Flash Player 9 not runs a .swf file and such.

Could someone please help me with this.

    when i click "download now" I get an immediate response: Adobe flash player successfully installed. However it hasn't!!! whats wrong?

    Same here JP, only I have Vista and cannot install it either.
    I would greatly appreciate an alternative method of downloading and installing it.

    Well theres two in the boat someone has to notice right.
