I have latest version 17 installed but a new program I have loaded reports that Flash Player  v6 is causing a script to run slow. I cannot find this in the Control Panel of my Windows 7 so how do I find it and then delete. The program support team claim that is not thier problem!

... if your program is not listed there, you can use your file manager and delete it from your harddisk. Reasonably necessary could it be in this case to delete the entries in your registry. And before this step you should make a backup.

    Hello David,

"normally" you use (translated from my German WIN7) uninstall it via the Windows Control panel > Software, and afterwards install your new version again. Microsoft has given these advices: Windows 7 – How to properly uninstall programs

Using Control Panel uninstall does not solve the problem but there is a video on UTube advising how to do a manual clean uninstall and manually deleting several files which does. My system is now working as it should.
