Flash Player <> IE, Firefox and Opera

I have both IE, Firefox AND Opera installed and use them for different issues (IE = Windows updates, Firefox = banking, Opera = news). Obviously I have to update Flash Player for IE and Firefox/Opera seperately, BUT do I really have to uninstall Flash Player each time an update is available, download two different installation files of the newest Flash Player and run them before ALL my browsers show the most recent version, when checking at

http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about ?! This seems to be the onlly way as I cannot find any instructions how to handle updates, when different browsers are installed - just for each browser individually.

By safety reasons I would prefer to find a way to use the update message (which might be fake) just as information about the fact, that an update is available and what it is called, connect to adobe.com manually, check, that this update really exists and download and install it manually after that. Any suggestions how to put this into practice in a smooth and easy way?

Hi The first thing is even tho it is an update, it is a new version. So it must be Uninstalled. The Uninstaller will remove all previous versions from all browsers. Then you can Install with IE, and FF/Opera.

This Guide will be helpful, check your settings, etc. I would download the Uninstaller and SAVE it to the Desktop. Page down in the Guide to the Manual Installers and SAVE them to your Desktop.

Follow the info for disabling any apps that use Flash in the system tray, Close all browsers. Make sure you use the Administrator Account. Disable any Anti-Virus/Firewall if needed.

Run the Uninstaller,Reboot, Reboot again. Run the Installers. Some Reboot after each Install, that is up to you. But do Reboot lastly.

The Flash Player installers should automatically uninstall previous versions.  Unfortunately this does not always happen, so cautious users use the uninstaller before running the installer(s).

    Download the

Save all the above to disk, then close all browser windows before running the uninstaller and installers.
