flash player install issues

I am having trouble installin the latest version of flash. I have removed it form my system yet I get an error saying an application is still running it when I try to install the new version. I am using windows 7 and my primary browser is fire fox. Any information or fixes would be most welcome

I have windows 7 too and can't download the newest flas h either I wonder what's up with this all the things I was doing now I can't play facebook games............

Deedeepage51, are you also getting the error that the application is already in use?

Can you both try the installers located on this page?

Where can I find direct downloads of Flash Player for Windows or Macintosh?

I used the link you provided and still got an error. It says that flash player could not be installed because an existing version may still be in use. please close all applications using flash player and try again. To my knowledge I have uninstalled any/all previous versions of flash and I have no windows open when I open the install app folder.
