Flash Player install problem.

When trying to install Flash Player, I receive the error: "The Active X Control For Flash Player Could Not Be Registered" and the install stops. I used the uninstall app from Adobe before I tried the install. I also updated Adobe Reader at the same time without any issues. Any help resolving this issue would be appreciated.
