Flash Player installation failure due to 'Certificate not matching' error

Hello,

I have a problem installing Adobe Flash Player.

I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64 Bits.

No proxy use for my Internet Connection.

My IE version is the latest (with Windows updates).

My Firefox and Chrome version are the latest too.

Each time I try to install or update Adobe Flash Player, I've the following message :

In French "Erreur d'initialisation de l'application".

In English maybe "Initialization application error".

The Adobe_ADM.log is the following :

BUT if I put the adm URL on Internet Explorer, I got an Text XML File

On this XML file, i find the lines :

Then I put the xml link on IE... and I have a new Text XML File :

I find the line : <assetPath>https://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/flashplayer/pdc/26.0.0.131/install_flash_player_ax.exe</assetPath>

I put the assetPath link on IE... Then I save the exe file... I run it after closing IE... The installation is now OK

So what's wrong with automatic installation ? The manual installation is not really the solution.

The error is "certificate not matching". Which certificate ? Where is it ?

I have the same issue if I install Flash for Chrome and/or Firefox.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the ADM_logs. We will look into the same. Please provide the FlashInstall.log as well. To get the log file location, you can go through Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on Windows? To upload/share the log file, please follow steps mentioned on How to share a document link. Once you have uploaded the files, post a link to the uploaded files here.

In the meanwhile, please use the offline installer available under 'Still hvaing problems' section on Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier page.

Hi,

The Certificate mismatch error for

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/webservices/adm/?cname=flashplayer26ax_ra_install.exe&bn ame=flashplayerax&site=live&type=install&language=fr

is because you might be using some web proxy tool on your machine which is adding its own certificate to the Https calls.

The actual certificate name for the above url should be - DigiCert SHA2 Secure Server CA.

Could you enable verbose logging and provide the ADM.trace. This would help us know the incorrect certificate name on your machine. To know how to get the trace please see Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on Windows?
