Flash Player installation finished, but Flash content still doesn't play

Similar problem.  xfinity tv says I need to install the latest OS X and flash player.  I am running the latest OS X 10.11.4 and have followed the prompts to download flash player until I get the "finished" alert.  Restart computer and safari and still get the message to update both again.  Now what?

    I branched your post to a new discussion.  Based on your post, Flash Player installation appears to complete successfully, whereas, it was failing to install on the discussion you posted to.

    If after downloading Flash Player, launching the installer, and installation completes (no error returned during installation), it's possible Flash Player is not enabled in the browser.  Please go to https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html​ and click on the links for the browser(s) you are using for instructions to enable Flash Player in the browser.
