Flash Player installed but Safari doesn't recognize it

I ran the uninstaller and then downloaded the newest version. Installation was successful – no errors. Using the Adobe

"Check if Flash Player is installed on your computer" web tool at Flash Player Help, with Safari I get the message that Sorry, Flash Player is either not installed or not enabled. However, both FireFox and Chrome indicate Flash Player is, in fact, installed. Why won't Safari see Flash Player?

Safari 10.0.2, OS X 10.11.6

    Hi,

As you have mentioned, since you have successfully installed flash player, there might be a chance that it must not be enabled for Safari.

Please follow the steps in the given link and try again:

Enable Adobe Flash Player for Safari

    Thanks!

Thanks for the response. Actually Adobe Flash Player does show in the Safari's Plug-ins window. So it appears that technically Safari is "seeing" it. I just wonder why Adobe's web tool does not recognize the installation in Safari as it does in two other browsers.
