Flash Player installer doesn't launch - Vista

Question

I'm having the same problem. I'm currently using an HP Pavilion PC with Windows Vista. I finally just removed all forms of Flash, intending to go to the Adobe site and just re-download it, but that didn't work either. Doubleclick on the installer and it does not respond.

Hi,I branched your Windows Vista comment to a new discussion topic as it's not related to the Mac topic you posted to.Usually when the installer doesn't launch it's because your Vista system does not support sha256 digital signatures, which the Flash Player online/shim installer uses. See this Microsoft support page for assistance. You can also try the offline installer, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier page, in the 'still having problems' section, but there's no guarantee this one will work either.--Maria
