Question

Flash Player installs, but IE says it's not.

I downloaded and installed the stand alone, yet even after restarting the browser, i get the following message:

You currently do not have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed.

You will need Flash Player 19.0.0.245 or higher in order to view this site.

Why isn't the stand alone installation update for IE11?

Hi benblum73

I branched your comment to a new discussion as your issue isn't related to the discussion you posted to.

What operating system, including version, is this on?

If the installation completed without errors, please ensure ActiveX Filtering is disabled, and Flash Player is enabled in the browser:

Hi Maria,

Thank you for your comments.

The Active X filtering was on. I switched it off and everything is working as expected.

Would i have the same installation issues with future Adobe Flash versions?

Thanks,
Ben

you're welcome.

Only if you enable Flash Player ActiveX Filtering again.  This a manual configuration, not something that was done by Flash Player, or the installer.
