Flash player integrated via Edge in Windows 10 but still shows up as disabled

Hi all,

Even though in advance settings in Edge the enable Flash Player is toggled on, it says that Flash Plater is "disabled". Any thoughts on why this could be and how to get it really enabled and working in a windows 10 environment? Thanks!

Hi Maria, its not a website that I am having difficulty with. Its an interactive programme via a CD-ROM that I am trying to access but it says that I have to install Adobe Flash via the Macromedia site. And that is when it seems to go round and round in circles, unfortunately.

Ah...thank you for the context.  This is a completely different situation.

See this post Desktop Software on CD-ROM that requires Flash Player doesn't work on Windows 10 which is similar to your issue.

Hi Maria, thanks for the quick response - but this is indeed what I have tried but it still keeps saying that it is disabled when "testing". I will contact Microsoft.
