Flash player is installed but still unable to use certain websites....Help please?

I have windows 8 and flash player is installed fine (I've checked this on adobe site and through the 'manage add on section) but I'm still not able to use certain websites. I've you tubed and followed the instructions on the adobe website and still no joy. Can anyone help please?
