Flash Player Issue with Linux

Hi! I did NOT hijack a discussion/link, that's ridiculous! I couldn't have when it's my question to begin with! 

I downloaded the: flash_player_ppapi_linux.x86_64.tar.gz

and I'm trying to install it to my Google Chrome plugins, but it's not working.

I typed this into my terminal:

mv Desktop/flash_player_ppapi_linux.x86_64.tar.gz/chrome://settings/plugins/

This is the error message:

mv: missing destination file operand after 'Desktop/flash_player_ppapi_linux.x86_64.tar.gz/chrome://settings/plugins/'

Please help, I'm trying to use the Adobe Flash Player on my Linux 64 bit using Google Chrome.

    You're first comment was posted to a discussion topic started by a different person, and completely unrelated to their issue.  Hijacking a discussion is posting a comment to a completely unrelated discussion topic, started by someone else.

    I typed this into my terminal:

    mv Desktop/flash_player_ppapi_linux.x86_64.tar.gz/chrome://settings/plugins/

    This is the error message:

    mv: missing destination file operand after 'Desktop/flash_player_ppapi_linux.x86_64.tar.gz/chrome://settings/plugins/'

    mv Desktop/flash_player_ppapi_linux_x86_64.tar.gz/chrome://settings/plugins is not valid

    flash_player_ppapi_linux_x86_64.tar.gz is a compressed tar file.  It's contents need to be uncompressed (e.g. tar xzvf file.tar.gz) and moved to the appropriate plugin location, which varies by Linux distro and browser.

    chrome://settings/plugins is not a valid directory on any operating system, nor a valid URL to obtain plugin information in recent Chrome versions

    Google embeds Flash Player PPAPI plugin in Chrome.  There is no need to install it separately.  However, Google does block Flash by default in Chrome, forcing users to enable it, usually for each domain.  Google also deletes the user's Flash settings when the user exits out of Chrome.  The next time the user launches Chrome and attempts to view Flash in a site they had previously allowed, the user needs to 'allow' Flash again on that site.  See Google's Use or fix Flash audio & video - Computer - Google Chrome Help document for assistance in allowing Flash in Chrome.

    Please provide the following information:

    • Linux distribution, including version (e.g Ubuntu 18.10, etc)
      • Depending on the Linux distribution, best practices is to use the appropriate Software Package Manager for that distribution to install software, including Flash Player
    • Chrome version
    • Chrome embedded Flash Player version & directory path
      • To obtain this, launch Chrome and navigate to chrome://flash
      • Copy and paste the Flash Plugin version and path
    • If you're having problems viewing Flash, provide the exact link to content that is not working
