flash player issues

Strange issue here. When I attempt to run a software cd SOME but not all will open, read to a certain choice, then stop responding when I select the install software box. I bought a new cd and will be disappointed if the cd does not work. As a test I opened and ran several CDs. Some worked some did not. Same error message. I used a copy of the same cd from another supplier with the same result. The other players that are capable of opening data CDs go to FLASH. So I have no choice. Any access to the cd produces the same results. So I am convinced there is nothing wrong with the cd. the issue is the player. It plays all other content from websites.straming video,audio CDs.
