Flash player jerky in games and video and crashes

Hello there,

I have recently rebooted my old laptop following reformatting the hard drive.

My problem is that since flash video is jerky and unwatchable and crashes every minute or two.

Also even really quite slow moving flash browser games are jerky, do not respond and crash.

Amongst my list of things done so far without gain include:

Installing flash player 11.2

Disabling hardware acceleration

Getting the latest driver for my display adapter

Uninstalling 11.2 and trying 11.1

Uninstalling 11.1 and installing latest version.

My system to the best of my knowledge is:

1.6G Intel centrino

2GB DDR2 memory

Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME graphics controller

I am using Opera as a preference, but all of them do the same.

As the above disables almost all of the things I used to use my computer for I would appreciate your help.

Please see the following FAQ for instructions on reporting this issue to us via bugbase.adobe.com.  It will also go over the information we'll need to investigate further.

How do I troubleshoot and report problems with Flash Player Video?

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks for the starter - tried the link - removing what was in the relevant folders - no change.

Put in a bug report without really knowing what I was doing.

Any other ideas?  Really do need to get this sorted.

Thanks

Brock

Thanks for the bug report, I understand it's pretty technical.  There's a few things we'll really need.  They're outlined in the troubleshooting doc I linked to above, but basically we're going to want:

1. a URL where you encounter this problem (as specific as you can be)

2. a copy of your system's dxdiag report

3. the browser version that you are using.

You mentioned Flash Player 11.2 in your original post, have you tried this with the newly released Flash Player 11.3?
