Flash Player Mac - black screen after "initializing" progress bar...

Downloaded latest flash player for mac. While installing, a progress bar grows "initialising". The progress bar then disappears, the black dialogue box remains, nothing changes any further... no more flash player...

I was able to solve the same problem by uninstalling old version and installing a new one from offline installer.

      I just kept trying AND finally it worked....was the problem just on Macs?

          I uninstall and cleaned but it still gives me the black box my mac is 10.9
