Flash player not available to all sites

This morning I tried to access my subscription to Boston Globe epaper and was advised to install latest version of Flash Player. Did an update and my computer shows latest version is installed. However, I still cannot access the epaper edition. What gives

We haven't pushed an update recently, so it sounds like a problem at the Boston Globe.

Are you using an Ad-Blocker or other anti-tracking/anti-scripting plugin? Have you made any other changes to the system between the time that this worked and the time that you noticed it was broken?

I am running Windows 7 and primarily use Internet Explorer. Have installed flashplayer updates. Tried to uninstall and re-install but still cannot access Boston Globe epaper. When I navigate various web sites I get a dialogue box that suggest I allow flashplayer to run at this web site. Cannot find the installed Flashplayer program in my program directory. I think the problem is with IE since when I use the Firefox browser I can access the Boston Globe epaper.

Each browser has a distinct copy of Flash Player. It's possible that you've installed the NPAPI Flash Player for Firefox, but still need the ActiveX Flash Player for Internet Explorer.

Using Internet Explorer, you might want to just go grab the installer and see if that's what's going on. We always serve you up the Flash Player appropriate for the browser you're visiting with:
