Flash player not opening some swf files

Hi, I have recently downloaded flash player and multiple swf files which run perfectly on the program, but there are two files that didn't open at all. The two files did open on internet explorer though. Any ideas to why this may be happening?

    To clarify, the SWFs don't open in the standalone Flash player but do work in Internet Explorer?

    Can you provide more information about what's in the SWFs? Maybe there is something in there that the SWF is trying to access and the Player doesn't like it. Having more information will help find an answer.
