Flash player not working

Mac with 10.8.5 cannot use flashplayer on aol news website.  Security allows adobe flash player plugins  But cannot watch videos.  promts need to be installed.  And it is out of date. Installed latest adobe flashplayer.

    If you're getting a prompt that Flash Player is out-of-date, then the latest version (21.0.0.242) is not installed.  Please go to https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html and click 'Check Now' button.  Post the resulting system information.
