!

to whom it mat concern I am costantly getting messages from many websites I try to use that I need to install Adobe Flash Player  but I when I go to my manage add-ons it says that shock wave object is enabled but then when I use the Adobe trouble shooter there's a box that prompts you to test your flash player  when I do this it says "either flash player is disabled or active x filtering is on please follow trouble shooting steps to play flash content"  and the first instruction says to enable flash player but its already enabled,  the second one says to turn off active x filter but it is already off, and the final trouble shooter instruction is to update the latest version of internet explorer flash player for windows 8.1  but you can't do it on a ( 64 -bit machine) which is what I have my computer is an ASUS laptop with Intel its Windows 8.1  and Internet Explorer 11. Up until a couple of weeks ago I never had this problem and I don't know what caused it  ( I am a novice with computers) so if you could contribute any information that could help me I'd greatly appreciate it thank you  Sal Cali

Please post a screenshot of the manage add-ons screen with the Flash Player setting.

You said this behaviour started a few weeks ago.  Did you install any software, or Microsoft updates, around the time this behaviour started?
