Flash player not working - gives 'unresponsive script' error, problems with updating

I have been having trouble updating flash player in Firefox. It would begin 'applicaiton initializer' then say it failed. So I went on the forum and found this link.

I tried downloading and it said flash player was already installed, so I uninstalled it and tried again but it is still saying it's installed.

The problem is I can't go on any web page for more than about 3 mins before it freezes and I get an 'Unresponsive script error'. When I close it, it just keeps freezing up. I've attached pics of the error messages that keep coming up and the site that says it's still installed.

Can someone help please?!

    I had the same problem and couldn't find a remedy so I just went to a restore point and put my computer back to what it was before I had downloaded the latest flashplayer.  I can access everything but I always have a banner across the top of the page telling me I don't have the newest version of flashplayer.  I'll just wait for a repair to come out, or another version before I download it again.

    A sound move, Lorraine. I would have done the same but, bizarrely Microsoft removed restore points in Windows 10 (grrr) so that's not an option for me and I need Adobe to fix it!

    Just the same here. I had a notification that flash player needed updating, which I did, and since then pretty much every non-basic website crashes after a short time (even a basic facebook page). I can't play any YouTube videos. This is across Firefox/Chrome/Opera/Edge in Windows 10.

    I've tried uninstalling Flash and reinstalling a few times. The same with my browsers. Nothing seems to help. What can I do? Does someone need more information to assist?

    Thanks in advance for your help. Obviously as this means the web has become pretty much unusable, it's a pretty major issue!
