Flash player not working in some places.

I'm experiencing several problems with flash related applications. Videos on facebook won't play, after they load i get an error saying; "the video you requested could not be loaded". However youtube works like normal, and when i go to the download flash page, it says that i have the newest version, and the flash logo runs perfectly.

I've tried many different internet browsers but the same things always happen.

PS: I also noticed that there is no sound in wimp, i can play songs, but not hear them. I don't know if this is related to the other problem, but i believe so because wimp is an adobe air application...

OS: Windows 7, 32bit.

Plz help...

I closed my Facebook a/c sometime ago, so I can't access the supposed solution I found today using Google. But maybe you can check it out: Fix for "the video you requested could not be loaded". It's the one at the top of the page.

There's also a suggestion immediately underneath that one to disable MP4 in the 'IDM'. I presume that means "Internet Download Manager".

Try using another browser. You can download Firefox from here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/

Then download Flash and Shockwave For Director from here:

If you can play Facebook videos in Firefox, then you'll know that the problem lies with the browser you're using at the moment.

Doesn't work. I've already tried downloading/installing flash/shockwave for firefox, explorer and opera. (Nothing worked) I'm currently using chrome, but there, the flash player is integrated in the browser...

Don't think it's something with the browsers because of the wimp issue.

What security apps are you using? Try disabling them to determine if that's the cause of the problem. Here's a list of AV with instructions on how to disable them: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html

Other possibilities.
