Flash Player on Mac not remembering privacy preference settings

Flash Player MAC 10,3,181,34

Firefox 5.0.1

iMac 27" 2.8Ghz Intel Core i7

Snow Leopard 10.6.8 64-bit

I love having a System Preference pane for Flash Player, but I find that it never remembers the settings for Storage, Camera and Mic, and Playback.  For instance, in the Playback tab in the Peer-assisted Networking Settings by Site... menu, I have repeatedly set www.niksoftware.com to "Allow" network access.  Nevertheless, everytime I restart my browser and visit that site, it prompts me to allow Flash playback again.  The sites I specify in the preferences either get switched from "Allow" to "Ask me", or they get deleted all together.  This is quite frustrating, especially for sites I visit frequently.

Well, after some simple trouble-shooting I discovered the problem was caused by the TACO plugin for Firefox.  Disabling lets Flash Player remember its privacy settings.  Now I've got to figure out if I can tell TACO how to leave my Flash preferences alone...
