flash player on Windows 64 bit Asus

Hello. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and the latest versions of Flash Player, IE, Firefox and Chrome.  Across all browsers I can play some videos, and others not at all.  For the videos that won't play, I can mouse across the progress bar at the bottom and see tiny little individual frames of the video.  Although I have uninstalled and reinstalled flash player several times, it never appears in my list of programs using the Start key.  It does, however, show up in Programs using Control Panel.  I have spent hours researching this problem and tried every recommended fix (including those found on this site) so I'm really hoping you can help.
