Dear Adobe,

I have old notebook MSI GX710 (AMD Turion X2 @ 1,8GHz, 4GB DDR2 800, ATI HD2600) with Windows 7 x64, Firefox 29.0.01 (last version) and Flash Player 13.0.0.214.

When I play movie trailer (mp4 with AVC L3.2, 1736x720px, 2657Kbps total BitRate (video have 2500 Kbps)) in VLC player, total CPU load is about 30%.

If I play same video on the web with Flash Player, total CPU load is 100% (Flash takes about 75-85%), system have a little resources and video is not smooth.

Where is any optimalization???

Thanks for answer.

Try the latest FireFox (30) and Flash (14.0.0.125).  CPU load is better for 720 HD videos than 1080.   If I have many Tabs open, plus other programs going, I do get high CPU (choppy playback) with 1080 videos.   I mostly play 720 or less.

Perhaps this Cache Setting may help:
