I can't install version 13.0.0.182 on my iMac.  The install process prompts me for my "name" and "password," but then doesn't recognize my adobe ID and password.  What to do?

The Name is your OSX account name. The password is your OS X password. Adobe doesn't control installs on your system. OS X does.

That said, read Chris Campbell's post here:   ATTENTION MAC CUSTOMERS - Flash Player 13 "Plugin Failure" Workaround

You're best to hold off on installing 13 a while, even if your Mac is new.  They'll have another release in a few days to a few weeks. THEN it'll be safe to update.
