Flash Player repeatedly crashs playing the same YouTube-Video

Hi,

I a few days ago I surfed on YouTube and found a video which crashes my Firefoy everytime I try to play it.

The sound plays for about 10 seconds, the video stays black. Meanwhile the plugin container process of Firefox

starts eating up my RAM until it finally crashes.

I asked other people on a German computer forum if they have the same issue and some of them have it others do not.

The answers indicate it's a bug in the flash player because even the IE and Opera crash on this video.

This is the video:

My system:

Windows 7 64 bits
Firefox 3.6.13
Adobe Flashplayer 10.1.102.64

    Beautiful video!

    I have played it several times on Firefox; I did see a slight increase in memory usage, but it reverted as soon as the video ended.  The same thing happened when repeatedly playing it.

    Suggestions:

    • try to disable the plugin_container;
    • try to disable Hardware Acceleration (Flash Player Settings);
    • try to update the device drivers of your graphics/video/display adapter; if that improves the situation, turn Hardware Acceleration back on.
