I have an email from "Adobe Systems" announcing a Critical Security update for Flash Player on my Mac system. The bulletin is titled "APSB20-06" and it appears to have come from Ireland. Is this a real download?

No I don't know anyone in Ireland

Doesn’t matter if you know anyone in Ireland. It’s a fake, and dangerous. You could lose your money or worse.

Unless you signed up to receive notifications (see https://helpx.adobe.com/security.html) it's a fake notification.  Mostly, it's enterprise customers that sign up for security notifications, so it's most likely a fake notification and we've recently seen an uptick in fake security notificatiorns.

Please forward the email (as an attachment) to phishing@adobe.com

    Thank you

It's a real fix, but a fake email. These are being sent by the million, and have fake links that will give you a virus or worse. Delete the email or forward it to phishing@adobe.com .
