Hi and thanks for starting your thread. Before we consider Uninstalling/Installing, go to Tools, Manage addons and under "Show"(very light text) look in All addons & Run without Permission for Shockwave Flash Object. Let me know if it is listed, enabled and what version.

With FF, look in plugins for the Shockwave Flash and it must be enabled as well.

When you post back, mention what Anti-Virus you use.

When you were Installing did you receive any error messages?

Are you the Administrator and using that Account?

    Thanks,

    IE8.0

This shows up in BOTH sections

    Name          Shockwave ActiveX Control
    Publisher     Adobe Systems Incorporated
    Status        Enabled
File date     Friday, October 22, 2010, 6:05 AM
    Version       11.0.0.429

    FF

The only one listed in plugins is

    Shockwave for Director 11.5.9.615

I am using AVG Free 2011 anti-virus and I have tried installing with AVG diabled.

I received no error messages. It appeared to install normally.

Yes, I am the administrator and only user on this computer.

Hi, Just getting back online, ISP was down. Ok on the Shockwave Flash Object and yes it usually is listed in both places which is fine, there is only one. IE8 lists some of the same addons in different categories, sort of confusing.

So then IE is ok as far as the addon for FP.

Looking in all of the plugins you didn't find the Shockwave Flash for FF. Perhaps you didn't Install Flash Player into FF?

Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash  Open Flash and post back all files listed there. Any NPSWF files will need a right click and then click on Properties to obtain the version numbers.

Let's take a look at your Files and then we'll go from there.

    Thanks,
