Flash Player settings panel missing

Hi everyone,

I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, and Google chrome (PPAPI). I have the latest version of flash player installed. 23.0.0.207

Whenever I visit the language website 'Babbel', which has speech recognition software, every time I attempt to set up my microphone to allow access etc, the settings panel is missing.

I have had ongoing problems of this nature for awhile now, and have tried all the popular suggestions such as  audio troubleshooting, checking plugins, and extensions settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

Please post a screenshot of the settings panel you are referring to and a direct link to the affected content.  For assistance on posting a screenshot, see How do I attach a screenshot?

    Thank you.

    Hi Maria,

I don't know what happened, but when I went to the screen where the Flash panel was meant to be missing, the website https://home.babbel.com/dashboard  simply defaulted to recognising my microphone, and allowing me to adjust the sensitivity. (The problem is now I have to turn the levels all the way up for the speech recognition tool to barely register a noise)

It may have something to do with chrome, as I went to the Flash D/L website and D/L Flash Player separately, rather than the usual situation whereby it  is an extension or add on.

I'm sure it will happen again, soon, so when it does I'll attach a screenshot etc.

    Thanks for your reply.
